Forbidden Door build continues, key NJPW names involved
AEW used Wednesday's Dynamite to push the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, announcing that either Mark Briscoe or MJF will include a member of NJPW on their Forbidden Door team. The show opened with Kenny Omega facing Tony Nese as AEW built toward MJF's upcoming match with Zack Sabre Jr at Forbidden Door. AEW also teased reuniting the Continental and International championships and a further Wardlow push, even as some promoted Forbidden Door matches appear to include no NJPW or CMLL talent. Whether Briscoe or MJF actually brings NJPW talent matters because that choice will determine the event's cross-promotional stakes, team compositions, and title implications.
I know people keep referring to the cage match as the main for Forbidden Door but I don't know how that show doesn't end with Will vs. Swerve. 🤼♂️
B 💖💜💙2Yea, I don't see the cage match closing out the night either. Its a throw away match. "Triple main event" my ass. I can easily see it being Women's Owen, Cage Match, Men's Owen.
Gen2the only way Will v Swerver closes is if the cagematch goes before both Owen Finals, which IS possible especially now that its confirmed that Soup is the only person signed to NJPW in the entire 12 person match.
