Spielberg says Bond producers twice turned him down, 'can't afford me' now
Steven Spielberg got rejected from the James Bond franchise so many times in his life that if they asked him to make one now, he'd say 'you can't afford me' (via The Rest is Entertainment)
An easy way to tell someone has too much money is the complete lack of self-awareness they’re saying something this pathetic and embarrassing
I'm sure they'd rather go with an unknown that they could control, so to say.
Most bond directors have been British, that's probably why.
Oh god. Get a grip dude. You haven't made anything good in like 20 years.
they just didn't want american directors at the time more likely than not
I mean it might have seemed fun for him to direct one at the time during the 70's era of Bond films but honestly I'm kinda glad they said no to him because even if he did direct a 007 flick would it have even been any good though because a good director doesn't automatically mean a good flim.
