Square Enix announces Final Fantasy Resonance, an HD‑2D Final Fantasy
Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Resonance, its first HD-2D Final Fantasy, and set the release date for October 22, 2026. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, and Square Enix is offering a Collector's Edition. Final Fantasy Resonance uses HD-2D visuals and adapts the world and systems of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius into a console-style RPG. This matters because it brings Square Enix's HD-2D aesthetic to a Final Fantasy entry and could expand Brave Exvius' lore to mainstream console and PC audiences.

a lil more info: - producer Keisuke Nakashima + director Hiroto Furuya love FFV and it shows - Team Asano advised - story is an adaptation of Brave Exvius' first season with new unique story stuff, everything else built from the ground up - said to be 30-40 hours mainline, 60-80 for completionists
That's good to hear because I was thinking isn't this just Brave Exvius. I'm a lot more excited for this now.
thanks for the writeup! and that NieR Reincarnation shoutout — I knew you’d get me lol
BUT IS THE ARIANA GRANDE BUNNY STILL IN
KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] (PS5/Switch 2 KC) up for preorder at Square Enix Store ($74.99) buff.ly/5PZBCKK "To play the physical version...an internet connection and additional data download are required"
If I can’t play it from a physical disc they shouldn’t legally be able to call it a physical version.
It’s over 100GBs so basically they didn’t want to spring for a second disc. This makes me worried about the physical release of Revelation.
not even the PS5 version is safe, damn
Found out if you have all three bought digitally, it will only be about $38 On Xbox at least
