Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake confirmed for Switch 2

Nintendo announced during its latest Direct that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and will arrive this year. The reveal consisted of a short teaser rather than extended gameplay and Nintendo did not provide a firm release date. Because the 1998 original reshaped 3D action-adventure design, the remake modernizes its visuals, mechanics, and audio and will serve as one of Switch 2's headline releases this year.

This is just a rumor going around but there appear to be MAJOR shakeups with the Ocarina of Time remake, apparently neither Link nor Zelda are actually in the game and have been replaced by Chibi-Robo. The game does NOT take place in Hyrule, instead focusing on a modern Japanese household,

That Nintendo Direct was the most reheated nachos ever. Honestly pretty disappointing by the whole thing. Even their final reveal was an Ocarina of Time remake (which I am excited for but would have liked more than a short teaser). Would have liked to see more new ideas.

Another unpopular take: we dont need an Ocarina of Time remake. It's fine the way it is and Zelda has been marinating in the same juice for a decade now. Time to move on to something else. ECHOES OF WISDOM was a good step of what they should be doing.
