Just so there's no confusion, I am royally pissed* they weren't invited. Donna and Kelly won Tonys for ACL. Lopez and Cilento would both win in the future. Baayork Lee has basically dedicated her life to preserving ACL and the legacy of Michael Bennett *(not as much as I assume Ken Mandelbaum is)

That there were only 3 musicals nominated for Best Original Score this year and that two of the performances were celebrations of long-running productions that have been on Broadway for 15 and 30 years respectively and we’re apparently also getting a Chorus Line anniversary tribute…uh…says a lot

I knew it’d be What I Did For Love, but a tribute to A Chorus Line that’s just a “stand and sing” performance feels… wrong? It was beautiful but A Chorus Line is one of THE dancing (and character acting) shows!
