Travis Willingham recast as Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII Revelation
Square Enix has recast Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII: Revelation, naming Travis Willingham as the character's new English voice. The company said the change was necessary because the prior actor had scheduling conflicts, and confirmation circulated after Willingham's appearance on Critical Role and comments from Maximilian Dood. Willingham's credits include voicing Superman in LEGO projects and numerous major game and anime roles. Because Sephiroth's English voice anchors the villain's presence across FFVII media, this recast will influence how Revelation presents its antagonist's key scenes.
Travis Willingham is the new VA for Sephiroth, per Maximillian Dood (info received from Square Enix)
If I had a nickel for every time Sephiroth shared an actor with Superman, I'd have three nickels. Quick, someone check if Lance Bass ever voiced Superman before!
Another Critical Role man. I’ll take it.
They’ll just keep casting a Superman Voice for Sephiroth! And Fellow Critical Role Member with Matt Mercer.
Travis is good, but why not newbern 😭
Respect to Travis its just not the voice I think of when I think of Sephiroth. Gonna be interesting to see.
Might explain why Willingham was unavailable for Trails in the Sky 2nd chapter. Hoechlin is setting off a recast chain.
Bro went from Loewe to Sephiroth. INSANE 😳
Thought for sure it was Paul St. Peter or Richard Epcar, he sounded just like Ansem and Xemnas in KH3. Cool they kept the pattern of Superman VAs tho!
