Actor James Handy, 81, fatally stabbed at Los Angeles home
James Handy, an 81-year-old character actor WHO appeared in Top Gun: Maverick and Jumanji, was found stabbed in the chest at his Tarzana, Los Angeles home and died after being taken to hospital. Los Angeles police arrested 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, the son of Handy’s girlfriend, after Gledhill called 911 and told dispatchers "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin," then waited for officers. Authorities have opened a homicide investigation and detectives are processing the scene while neighbors told reporters they had heard prior arguments at the residence. Handy’s decadeslong career included roles in Logan and Arachnophobia, making his violent death notable to colleagues and viewers WHO recognized him from recent major films.
