Dylan Larkin requests trade from Detroit Red Wings
Dylan Larkin, 29, requested a trade from the Detroit Red Wings, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported. Larkin has been Detroit's captain and top center for 11 seasons and has made just one playoff appearance with the club. As a long-time Michigan native and core forward, his exit would allow Detroit to pursue draft picks, younger players or salary-cap relief and could reshape the roster around Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider. Trading the captain would significantly alter Detroit's leadership and could fetch a sizable return for a proven top-six center.

kso316510It seems like McLellan and Yzerman have consistently questioned the leadership in the room. Maybe moving him out is the culture change the team needs. let this be Mo and Raymond’s team.

Geoff4I’ve always thought he was a really good player… but if Yzerman is a “not trading you inside my division” type, I wouldn’t get too excited. His old buddy Verbeek has Macintosh who wants out too… maybe there’s a swap coming who knows.
