Bandai Namco and developer Bandai Namco Aces released a 10-minute walkthrough trailer for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve that highlights combat systems, squad introductions, and cinematic superweapon sequences. The trailer shows mission structure where players choose from licensed real-world jets and original aircraft, fit planes with upgrade parts and specialized weapons, and engage in arcade-style aerial dogfights. Ace Combat 8 is the first mainline entry in seven years and returns to the fictional Strangereal setting, showcasing both cockpit and third-person perspectives for large set-piece battles. This matters because it gives the clearest look yet at whether the game modernizes loadout customization and spectacle while preserving the series' signature large-scale aerial combat.

There is a constant throughline of coming together, regardless of nationality for the sake of a wider peace where we won't need ace pilots anymore. But then again, none of these mandem have finished these games.
