Will Ospreay advances to Owen Hart Tournament final on AEW Dynamite
Will Ospreay defeated Mark Davis in a chaotic main-event on AEW Dynamite to advance to the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final. The finish featured interference tied to the Don Callis Family, two Hidden Blades neutralizing a Don Callis screwdriver attempt, Mark Davis hitting a piledriver that failed to score, and Ospreay pinning Davis after landing his Death Ground finisher. Ospreay now stands one win away from the Owen Hart title, gaining momentum and setting up a high-profile final with clear implications for AEW's upcoming storyline and championship picture.
Our last match in the C2 was incredible & though the situation was different yesterday, I was looking forward to the contest. Kevin's choice to join DCF & take the low road is baffling to me. I am a sad man. Write whatever you want about me. Thank y'all for watching #AEWDynamite
Sounds like you are due for REDEMPTION in Montreal 🤞🏻
😢 I hate when the fajitas come out cold. You’ll get him next time.
If you only had backup....
Rubber match at All In 🙏
Montreal is gonna be known for its fajitas after July 26th!
you’ll get your chance for comeuppance , i know it!!
Don Calli-cyst will pay for infecting people, to join his family
It wasn’t so long ago that Callis had you two beat up backstage for a bounty, now Kevin is running with them? Shameful!
The way this move looked devastating in real time. But when you slow it down you see how Mark fully protects will with his arm stopping his head moving below his legs and contacting the mat. Absolute perfection. #AEWDynamite 🤼
Davis has a big fat ass so it lets his piledrivers look absolutely devestating while completely protecting the person taking them
Watching two extremely competent professionals show off their skills is so satisfying.
Mark Davis is so awesome
Best pile driver in the business right now, imo. So freaking nasty looking, but the way he protects his opponents is second to none.
Every time they get in the ring, they entrust their health to their opponents. Those small things yiu hardly notice is what makes the wrestling magic work.
When I was a kid, I actually used to think this was real
I'll let 'em cook, but I don't think Kevin Knight needed to join DCF. I He had plenty of heel heat behind him without it, and I figured they were heading a direction with Swerve taking him under his wing. Shows what I know, really. 🤷♀️ #AEWDynamite 🤼♂️
Swerve was definitely the more interesting option. DCF doesn't need more people.
For sure. I know it's a fast way to get heat, but he was doing just fine and the audience was responding to him. I wish they hadn't done this! I also thought they were going another direction which would have been satisfying.
If Kevin needed a mouthpiece, I'd feel better about it, but he really doesn't.
Agreed. Although a storyline where Swerve “steals” Knight from DCF could work
100% I need to see it okay itself out, but putting him in the DCF is like putting a hat on a hat. Kev is more than capable to survive a run without backup for the time being.
Kyle eyeing his title last week made me wonder if this was going to be the direction, let's see how he deals with Don having a new hot young thing.
Personally, I think his mic skills could use the support, but the DCF isn’t it. But I’ll give it time to see where it goes.
