Great American State Fair loses most headline acts as artists withdraw
Martina McBride and Bret Michaels, among at least seven of nine announced headliners, withdrew from the Great American State Fair concert planned for the National Mall next month. Martina McBride said organizers misled her about the show being nonpartisan, and Bret Michaels said the event had "evolved into something" divisive. Losing most acts strips the National Mall show of star power and casts the Freedom250 America 250 celebration as politically charged rather than nonpartisan, complicating organizers' plans for a high-profile birthday-linked event for Donald Trump.
