Oura Ring 5 launches, 40% smaller with new health features
Oura launched the Oura Ring 5, its newest smart ring, and it goes on sale June 4 for $399. The Ring 5 is 40% smaller than the previous generation, with a slimmer, lighter and more durable build and repositioned LEDs. Oura upgraded sensors to add blood pressure monitoring and new AI-powered health insights and coaching while maintaining about a week of battery life. Priced $50 above the Ring 4, the Ring 5 pushes Oura further into premium biometric tracking, offering a less bulky option for continuous finger-based health monitoring.
Today Oura announced the Ring 5, a nearly $500 wearable which locks you into a monthly subscription fee to even really use the data generated about your own health. Or, you could use Cracked Oura, which someone made to bypass the need for a monthly sub www.404media.co/cracked-oura...
Leaving the cracked oura app aside for now, under European gdpr legislation could you simply request your data for free? This would include the info that cracked oura doesn't have access to at the moment. You'd then probably need to put it in excel or similar to make it look pretty.
Kind of ironic this article about bypassing payments for Aura is locked behind a paywall.

They could've called it yOura, seeing as how it should be *your* data
This all sounds like anyone who buys one of these is a rich person with like legit NO sense at all. I need to meet these people!
No thanks, my scam intolerance.
I had a Oura 3....customer service nightmare. The thing barely tracked my sleep, so they tried to help and pushed out an update...that said I don't sleep at all (for weeks). Took multiple tries for customer service to respond, but they didn't help in time and my trial expired...screw them.
