Siouxsie Sioux celebrates 69th birthday
Siouxsie Sioux, born Susan Janet Ballion, turned 69 on May 27. As lead singer of Siouxsie and the Banshees she fronted landmark tracks such as the debut single "Hong Kong Garden" and performed memorable live shows, including a sweltering set at Brisbane's Livid Festival in 1993. The band's DVD "At The BBC" compiles live sessions filmed for The Old Grey Whistle Test and Oxford Road Show, showcasing her theatrical goth aesthetic. Her blend of punk energy, dramatic vocals, and visual style influenced generations of alternative musicians and remains a touchstone for goth and post-punk fashion.

and I celebrate 40 years of unrequited crush I refuse to give up hope, however....
...Sitting there with some guitarist bloke called Robert...
A friend of mine was very briefly a member of the Banshees. Went to London, aced the audition, and was signed up. Having no-where to live, he was invited to stay with the band in a house they were renting. After a fortnight of red wine for breakfast, he beat a hasty retreat back to Newcastle.
Happy 69th birthday tae Siouxsie Sioux.
She won't mind. Robert Smith saved The Banshees when McKay & Morris left the Join Hands tour without warning. The Cure continued to be support but Smith also played guitar for The Banshees. It is said he learnt how to be a frontman on stage next to Siouxsie. Lovely man.
That’s very funny 😂😂 She is a goddess however and needs more respect than you are showing
🧐 something seems different.... 😆
That made me laugh. Thank you.
at first i didn’t even see what was wrong lol
Oh come on now. Everyone recognized that iconic look. That's Mike Ness of Social Distortion.
Was when she stepped in to cover the departure of John McKay?
Same hair and make up and he was in the band I guess.
