Ferrari unveils Luce, its first all‑electric model
Ferrari unveiled the Luce, its first all-electric series car, at the Vela di Calatrava in Rome; LoveFrom, the design firm led by Jony Ive, collaborated with Ferrari on the four-door, five-seat model. The Luce uses four electric motors to produce 1,035 horsepower, accelerates 0-62 mph in about 2.5 seconds, reaches a 193 mph top speed, and carries a 122 kWh battery with a WLTP range near 330 miles. Ferrari priced the Luce at roughly €550,000 and highlighted a radically simplified LoveFrom interior plus the lowest aerodynamic drag in Ferrari history. As Ferrari's first production EV, the Luce signals the marque's move into luxury electric performance and shows how Ferrari plans to blend its performance heritage with minimalist, modern design.
I’m just astounded at this. Possibly the worst ass end in Ferrari history. They went with the coward’s two tone to hide how tall it is and it STILL looks too tall
Inside of this car there is a smaller car trying to get out
it looks like its wearing a hoodie
if it wasn't a ferrari I'd probably find it interesting, while still not liking a lot of stuff on it.. but from THE FERRARI, come on fellas, you can't design the car like this, your son is at home
if Pixar drew an F40
I'll give them credit: they finally beat Lamborghini for ugliest "supercar." The tractor guys looked like they'd sealed the deal with the Urus, but Ferrari proved you should always bet on red. Or against red. I lost track of my metaphors there. Fuck, this thing is hideous.
looks like one of those sliding tile picture puzzles and they shipped it before it was solved
Looks like someone tried to widebody a C4 corvette
Looks like it’s giving birth to an R32 Nissan Skyline.
Ferrari has made some ugly cars over the years, but this thing looks like it was designed by the guy who did the cybertruck
The rear looks like someone fucked up the pixel art for a F355 for their Amiga game
I swear this is like if Ferrari's mum said, "You better make an EV by the time I get back from Aunt Maria's" and Ferrari sulked and said, "OK, YOU WANT AN EV? YOU GOT AN EV." Honestly I bet the Jaguar Brick guy is super relieved.
There is at least one Ferrari rear end that i consistently mistake for a Peugeot 308 cc
As someone who was excited about both a Ferrari EV and a Ferrari SUV for years before either was presented, I am not sure the Luce and the Purosangue are what I want them to be. I cannot imagine how mad the actual core Ferrari customers must be about them.
I have the maximum possible interest for legacy performance brands expanding into other spaces. I have owned a Macan and a Panamera, I will likely own a Taycan. I adore when a brand can do what it does with something different. I like that new Mercedes AMG GT EV everyone was mad about. But this?
The Purosangue sells like hotcakes and honestly the Luce’s interior will sell that car.
