Blue Jays lose Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Dylan Cease to in-game injuries

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was hit by a Mitch Keller pitch on the inside of his unprotected right elbow in the fifth inning and immediately left the game. X-rays on Guerrero's elbow were negative and the Blue Jays called the injury a contusion. Starter Dylan Cease also exited in the fifth with a lower-body complaint, forcing an early bullpen move. The Blue Jays had already placed Alejandro Kirk, Addison Barger, Shane Bieber and Cody Ponce on the injured list this season, so losing Guerrero and Cease in the same game further strains Toronto's lineup and rotation.
