Boots Riley's I Love Boosters opens to mixed but loud reviews

Saw this last night. Fun as hell, cartoony but smart. Boots Riley is an inspired madman.

I LOVE BOOSTERS: 4/5 the wildest and most creative film of the year so far. A million ideas all interesting but some stuff gets abandoned and a lot of dialogue feels lost in bad sound mixing. But wild and fun and energetic and leftist as hell. Boots Riley needs to keep making movies.
Nicholas Slayton6The pros way outweigh the cons but there are a few weird big ideas thrown in then abandoned. But it swings big and delivers. Moore and Liu are big highlights. It's nice seeing a film that uses the medium for all it's worth.

However, he’s a pretty phenomenal filmmaker & theres a level of cynical awareness of people that I thought offset any didacticism in Sorry To Bother You (loved it) so imagine/hope this is similar?
