𝐵𝑒𝒸𝓀𝓎 💕✨2I think it offered such a huge amount of opportunity for the story to focus on the people they already had on DS9, instead of opting for a new "alien of the week" approach TNG often went for. By the end of the show the main cast and even side characters were so realised, and they all mattered.
