WHO upgrades Ebola risk in DR Congo to 'very high' nationally
WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo is spreading rapidly and he upgraded the national risk level to very high. WHO now assesses the risk as very high nationally, high regionally and low globally, after confirming 82 cases and seven deaths so far. The upgrade signals urgent scaling of surveillance, vaccination and treatment inside DRC and increased cross-border coordination to prevent wider regional transmission.

Good thing we have a CDC, USAID and international partners in the WHO etc to help the affected area and contain the spread OH WAIT
Some good news 🙏 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Good thing USA is there to help, oh wait we are being led by morons
Have we stopped the third-country deportation flights to Congo? I suspect not, which means we are sending innocent migrants to possible death.
I keep saying that the next pandemic is coming soon and we will not be prepared for it because of our current government policies. Ebola spread is partly due to our reduction in USAID.
The destruction of USAID caused this. Plain and simple. Trump and admin cut 90% of this funding. www.infectioncontroltoday.com/view/2026-eb...
Ebola spread in Congo is sponsored by the Republican party.
The one thing keeping this virus local instead of going global is the quick onset and rapid high lethality.
Unforgivable that the US isn't leading this fight. But what can one expect with a fking psycho idiot like Kennedy Jr.
Translation: If someone from the Congo manages to get on an airplane; even though it requires direct contact; it's still a danger to everyone.
