Rams extend Matthew Stafford one year, $55M

sportsMay 21, 20261474

The Los Angeles Rams agreed to a one-year, $55 million extension with quarterback Matthew Stafford, with incentives that can raise the total to $60 million and keep him under contract through the 2027 season. Combined with his existing pact, Stafford now has two seasons and up to $105 million remaining on his deal with the Rams. Stafford, the reigning NFL MVP, had his contract reworked in 2024 and 2025, and this extension locks the veteran quarterback in place as the Rams shape their roster and salary-cap strategy for another Super Bowl push.
