Vyshyvanka Day, 20th World Vyshyvanka Day celebrated
Ukrainians and supporters worldwide celebrated the 20th World Vyshyvanka Day by wearing traditional embroidered vyshyvanky and staging events in cities from Kyiv to Vilnius. The holiday began as a student initiative in Chernivtsi and now takes place in more than 100 countries, featuring public displays such as a neo-fresco in Vilnius and celebrities like Demi Moore wearing Ukrainian-inspired looks. The geometric embroidery patterns serve as symbolic amulets that link generations and express cultural identity and solidarity amid Ukraine's ongoing struggle for freedom.
