Tesla Cybertruck 'Wade Mode' Test Ends With Arrest
A driver was arrested in Grapevine, Texas, after driving a Tesla Cybertruck into Grapevine Lake to test the vehicle's "Wade Mode." Grapevine police and the Grapevine Fire Department Water Rescue Team say the Cybertruck became disabled, took on water, and occupants abandoned it before crews removed the stainless steel pickup from the lake. Tesla markets Wade Mode as allowing a Cybertruck to enter and drive through bodies of water such as rivers and creeks, but authorities say crossing Grapevine Lake requires boat registration and an actual boat. The incident shows that using water-driving features can lead to equipment failure, safety risks, and legal consequences.
A man drove his Cybertruck into a lake to test ‘wade mode” but he started to sink. The police arrest him and charge in with not having a boating license and other maritime safety laws plus operating a vehicle in a closed section of a park. Should also arrest him for owning a Cybertruck. 😆😆😆
