Not many better feelings for football fans than actually enjoying the occasion as it pans out. Villa far superior and another European success for the remarkable Unai Emery.

Unai Emery has now won the Europa League with Villa Real, Sevilla and Aston Villa. Any other teams with "Villa" in their name should hire him pronto!

This is the game that Unai Emery planned. Control after 5 minutes, spend time in the Freiburg end. Villa required a little bit more passing in the last third. It happened and then……… 2-0!!!!

That was a DOMINANT performance from Aston Villa. Unai Emery has another Europa League trophy, and Villa have ended their 30-year wait for silverware. Very well-deserved.

The best thing about Villa’s win is that Unai Emery always says “Good afternoon” or “Good evening” at the start of interviews. A little touch of old world courtesy that I like very much.

Unai Emery now has FIVE Europa League titles, the most in history as a manager Unai Emery has won the Europa League five times with three different teams, all of which contain "villa" in their names.

I bet if Nashville Predators (NHL) allow it to be renamed to Nashvilla Predators and appoint Unai Emery as their manager. He will somehow find a way to take them to the Europa League and win it.

It's an insane achievement to finish top 5 and win the Europa league with this squad. Absolutely insane. Unai Emery deserves all the plaudits.
