Marvel announces Amazing Spider-Man #1000, Noah Hawley to debut

i'm reuniting with Stuart Immomen (!!) for a special Peter focussed story in the jam packed Amazing Spider-man 1000. Even though i have written hundreds of spidey stories (!!), this is only my second appearance in the flagship title.

Marvel Comics announces ‘AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1000’, a milestone issue with a main story by Joe Kelly & Pepe Larraz. The issue will feature additional stories from Bendis, Romita Jr., Miller, Momoko, Immonen, Slott, DeMatteis, Gleason, Martin & Hawley. Releasing on September 16.

My thoughts on Amazing Spider-Man #1000 is that I liked that part in Linkara's review of The Culling where he talks about how "The Ravagers" is a stupid name.

#spiderman aiptcomics.com/2026/05/20/m... If you know your 90s, Ravage was already used as a character name for someone conceived by Stan Lee for the 2099 line. So even if it isn't the same character, at least it's nice to have some small service to Stan in an anniversary issue.

9.) Spider-man is actually a really well known figure among the people living in the engine bays of the flying citidels. They actually see him as a religious figure and I plan on doing a solo where dwight falls and meets one of these guys that worship him basically.
