YouTube is expanding its AI likeness-detection tool so public figures can proactively find and request removal of deepfake videos. The expanded rollout lets verified public figures scan for content that matches their likeness and submit removal requests under YouTube's manipulated media policies. That gives celebrities a faster, platform-level way to curb impersonation, limit reputational harm, and reduce spread of misleading synthetic media.
