Jarren Duran launches 3‑run homer, Red Sox up 6-1 vs Royals
In the ninth inning Jarren Duran crushed a three-run homer with a 106 mph exit velocity to put the Boston Red Sox up 6-1 over the Kansas City Royals. Isiah Kiner-Falefa collected his third hit of the game while Nick Sogard extended a five-game hitting streak, supplying Boston’s early offense. Reliever Garrett Whitlock struck out Lane Thomas on three pitches and retired the side on seven pitches. Duran’s late blast created a comfortable cushion for Boston’s bullpen and all but sealed the win in the closing innings.
the Red Sox have scored 7 runs tonight, which is the most runs they have scored since May 5, and only the second time they’ve scored more than 5 runs since April 25 it’s not great, folks
before tonight they were at 3.63 runs per game which was tied for the worst runs per game of any Sox team since 1920 and that average includes one game where they scored 17
Was not anticipating the White Sox to be the better Sox team in May.

This is bad even by Sox Bad standards
did Tampa and the Yankees just cast some kind of curse on the entire AL or something
