Forza Horizon 6 launches worldwide, Day One on Game Pass
Forza Horizon 6 launched worldwide today on Xbox Series X|S and PC with Game Pass day-one access and Play Anywhere support. Playground Games' open-world racer ships with more than 550 cars, a Horizon Festival set in Japan for Series 1, and guest DJs including Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro. The release adds extensive accessibility options, player customization with unlockable houses, and virtual photography tools. Game Pass availability and the long-requested Japan setting make this a major new entry for both single-player racers and festival-style online play.
Forza Horizon 6 lets you race a giant rollerblading mecha, for some reason
Is the ability to do so not sufficient reason in itself?
"for some reason" The reason: Look how cool this is I miss arcade racers and sports games that didn't give a damn and just did this. Tony hawk, Burnout all those things
discord just gave me game pass so i'm either trying this (they will let me play online) or not trying this (i refuse to use windows)
He's just a pretty princess!
this game also lets you drive the Warthog from Halo around Tokyo.
So... Forza Horizon 6... How satisfying would you say is the single-player experience? Like... would I need to engage with the online content to really enjoy the game...?
Forza Horizon in general is excellent for single-player. That's always the main event. The multiplayer parts is an extra snack for those who want it
You can completely avoid the online. If you just want to play single player, you can, or you can co-op them with one or more friends and the rest of the grid is AI.
I really enjoy my time with Forza Horizon. It’s a shame there aren’t more Rush Events. I’m not a fan of the progression system, though. I prefer starting from the bottom and working my way to the top. It kind of takes away from the magic to be sitting in some super sports car right from the start.
I know that's just how Forza works. I've always preferred having fewer cars but making them more customizable and constantly improving them - just like in Need for Speed Underground.
Where's my Toyota trueno AE86?? 👀
This is what I disliked about 5 and why I never got it. At least in 4 you started with a fairly basic car and worked your way up, starting with a high end car is just cheating and kills the joy of progression.
