U.S. extends Russian oil sanctions waiver for another month
The U.S. Treasury renewed a 30-day general license on May 19, 2026 allowing certain Russian crude shipments to continue flowing. The extension preserves carve-outs for tanker deliveries and processing under existing sanctions to prevent an immediate global supply shock as the Iran conflict and recent Ukrainian strikes tighten markets. Several senators criticized the move as undermining U.S. sanctions pressure on Russia while traders said the waiver helps blunt near-term Brent crude spikes. Keeping the waiver short gives Washington leverage to alter policy later but leaves oil flows and prices exposed to further geopolitical shocks.
US Treasury extends sanctions waiver for Russian oil by 30 days. Of course they do. Nobody cares that Russia leveled a residential building onto sleeping families using that oil money just days ago. Unfuckingbelievable.
Our President just openly stole $2Billion of our taxpayer money today for himself, something I don’t even think Putin would do so openly. The American experiment is over. I’m sorry but we failed. Nobody can count on us anymore.
They are evil Kate. Simply they do not care who dies.
What is UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE is that Ukrainians around the world provided ANY support for Donald Trump. My gosh, he has ALWAYS been in Putin's pocket. Why would anyone still think these actions are unbelievable?
The US doesn’t give a fuck about anything that doesn’t enrich its elite. Sorry state of a former, somewhat admirable country. Its just a dysfunctional cesspool of corruption, not unlike ruZZIA, these days.
The US is in decline and Europe must replace the support and is still not fast enough. 🙆
Fortunately, Ukraine continues to impose its own kinetic sanctions against the Russian Oil Industry on a nearly nightly basis. Oil shipping/processing sites across Russia are either destroyed or in the process of being destroyed. The US sanctions waiver is unconscionable but essentially moot.
#Sanctioned “At least 4 fuel tanks destroyed in Ukrainian strike on oil terminal in Moscow region yesterday 🔥”
A garbage regime impotently flails and sacrifices whatever legitimacy it has left for a short-term bandage. After the tankers stranded at sea are emptied, fewer and fewer will come after them.
Not unexpected for little Russia 🇺🇸 😉
A better world has fewer Russians. A better world has no MAGAts.
This is disgusting. What a bunch of oil whores. So russia can murder children and still get sanction waivers? This makes me ill.
The supposed decent guy, bessent, has gone totally corrupt. ETTD ❗
I'm so sorry, Kate. I truly wish it was a different scenario. The only thing I can say is please hang on until the next presidential election in 2028. Hopefully someone who is more sympathetic, not "pathetic" gets into the white house.
No, they don't. They only care about grifting as much money as possible while they still can get away with it.
How does that compute with this.. 👀👇🤔⁉️ #US advances bill on sanctions against countries purchasing #Russian oil." "A bill allowing sanctions to be imposed against countries that continue to purchase Russian oil is being advanced in the US Congress." new.soliton.az/en/news/2026...
🚨 The UK — yes, the UK — has quietly issued sanctions waiver for Russia. One permits imports of diesel and jet fuel made from Russian oil in third counties, is indefinite and me revoked at any time. The other covers the maritime transport of Russian LNG and lasts until January 2027.
And here's the official announcement.
Not how I hoped we would align our treatment of Russia and Israel
The UK judges the Hormuz Strait isn’t opening any time soon.
One cannot detest the Labour government enough.
So... we are letting the poorest die by cutting foreign aid, but we are making sure the middle classes inthe same countries can keep fly around? Have I got this wrong?
Read Putin's People by Catherine Belton, and you'll understand.
❗️The US Treasury will extend its sanctions waiver on Russian seaborne oil for another 30 days, Reuters reports. Several vulnerable countries asked for more time to buy Russian oil after Gulf supplies were disrupted by the Iran war and the Strait of Hormuz closure. #Russia
Ah, yes, orange traitor maggot and his master in Kremlin. But, it wont help RU much. There are now different, much more painful and tangible sanctions in place.
Was Russia the country that asked?
WHile at the same time, we are blocking oil shipments to Cuba to the point where they have no electricity. Food is spoiling, people are starving. It's inhumane.
Aha, the spineless trump administration at it again, putins puppets
🇺🇸 Reuters: US Treasury extends temporary waiver on Russian oil exports by sea. The previous waiver on sanctions on Russian oil expired on Saturday. Thus, the waiver from sanctions will last another 30 days.
I have no doubt that Trump is compromised by several Russian Oligarchs and Putin. No doubt in my mind. It's now a pattern 👈 that even an idiot can see .....
Guarantee it won't be the last time that happens
We're all very surprised... not.
Someone is very happy that he owns the United States at least until January 20, 2029
Who needs enemies when you have "allies" like the US?
I'm raging! The UK govt has issued a waiver, effective 20 May 2026 and of indefinite duration, authorising the import of diesel and jet fuel processed in third countries from Russian crude oil. I have written to my MP. CALLING ALL BRITISH FELLAS - please write to yours! 👇 www.gov.uk/government/p...
When politicians pull stunts like this, it is better to help Ukraine to apply the kinetic sanctions. There’s no avoiding the sanctions then.
Now it all makes sense. If the Persian gulf crisis means oil cannot be transported out of Middle East, that means countries must rely on Russian oil to save costs. This is precisely what Trump wants, as an agent and puppet of the Russian government. Of course oil-indepdenence is matter of autarchy
Use this: "Dear [your MP], I am writing as a constituent to express my deep horror at the UK Government’s decision to issue a General Trade Licence, effective 20 May 2026 and of indefinite duration, authorising the import of diesel and jet fuel processed in third countries from Russian crude oil.
