Mets falter after late defensive miscues, Torrens sparks short rally
Luis Torrens ripped a two-RBI double down the line to cut the New York Mets' deficit to two runs during a late rally. A Bo Bichette miscue briefly opened that opportunity, but the Mets committed late defensive errors and missed chances that kept the comeback from growing. Torrens' hit proved insufficient as the Blue Jays took the win, underscoring New York's trouble closing games late this season.
Washington and Miami are two teams we SHOULD be able to beat. We could be close to .500 by next weekend. #LGM. Lots of season left, my friends.
They’re fighting Charlie. All we can ask for. Eventually we get some injured guys back, but for now just keep going. It’s been enjoyable to watch.
Before the homestand, they were 10 games under.. Now they are 6. if they can get back to 500 or a little over by the end of May, then they will be in a decent spot
