ROH Supercard of Honor, Pure Rules opener sees Nigel McGuinness win
Nigel McGuinness defeated Josh Woods under Pure Rules to open Ring of Honor's Supercard of Honor. The card featured multiple Pure Rules bouts, including a technical match pitting Ace Austin against Lee Moriarty, and ROH restored its traditional wrestling mat and classic presentation. Action Andretti turned on former partner Lio Rush to help AR Fox retain the ROH World Television Title, setting up new feuds and reinforcing ROH's push toward a more technical, old-school product.
