The Red Hot Chili Peppers sold their recorded back catalogue to Warner Music for about $300 million. The deal covers the band's master recording rights only and is separate from the publishing rights the group sold in 2021. The sale includes decades of releases and major hits such as Under the Bridge, Californication, and Give It Away. The transaction hands Warner long-term streaming and licensing revenue while giving the band a large upfront payout and changing WHO profits from future uses of their recordings.
