NWS Great Falls set a warning from May 14 at 12:45 AM MDT through May 15 at 12:00 AM MDT, and NWS Cheyenne posted a warning from May 14 at 12:30 AM MDT through May 14 at 6:00 PM MDT. Montana warnings specifically cover Daniels, Dawson, Eastern Roosevelt, McCone, Prairie, Richland, Sheridan, Western Roosevelt and Wibaux counties, while central and southeast Montana remain under high wind alerts. Strong gusts can damage roofs, lift poorly secured gutter guards, threaten high-profile vehicles and disrupt travel and outdoor work, so residents should secure loose objects and avoid nonessential travel during the warnings.
