The Season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again rushed and compressed multiple storylines into a single episode, cutting Kirsten McDuffie’s screen time and sidelining characters such as Cherry and BB. Critics flagged abrupt choices, including BB leaving a crucial flash drive in her coat, a textbook "Idiot Ball" move, and a regression in Frank Castle’s arc that echoed his earlier, more violent portrayals. The episode also used several Black background character deaths to advance Frank’s plot and left matchups like Karen versus Heather/Lady Muse unresolved, prompting calls for future seasons to expand to 10, 12 episodes so character beats and worldbuilding can breathe.

Punisher: One Last Kill is, as expected, a misnomer. But despite some callbacks to the Netflix series it doesn't exactly seem to exist in quite the same world as the previous Netflix series or the current Daredevil: Born Again continuation of same. Maybe before Born Again? It sure isn't set after S1

This feels like a regression in Frank’s character after the Netflix shows and his appearance in Daredevil: Born Again. And a bunch of Black background characters dying to serve Frank’s arc? GTFO. I’m sure the excuse is “But Curtis is his conscience! Look!” The Punisher: One Black Friend. 🙄

I liked a lot of things about Season 2 of #DaredevilBornAgain, but I also know I would've liked it even more if it had a couple more episodes to slow down and let the story breathe a little more, so that certain moments have more impact when they happen, and so we can see characters react to them.

I personally loved it but I agree with your sentiment. It honestly feels like they’re trying to reintroduce Frank to the broader MCU audience that didn’t watch Born Again or the Netflix shows? My guess is preparation for his appearance in Brand New Day

The New York portrayed in this special has less in common with the portrayal in either the Netflix shows or Daredevil: Born Again than with the anxiety delusions in the first act of Beau is Afraid

the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 and during that season New York was still under martial law by Fisk. This gang that threw this homeless man’s dog onto oncoming traffic could be a symbol of the lawlessness of Fisk’s New York but come on if this idea is in a Special Presentation and

I never finished the original run of Daredevil on Netflix, but I decided to give Born Again a shot at the recommendation of my brother. Insane opening, and a really good mid-season episode (the bank heist), but with just a couple of episodes left I'm not quite sure how I feel on it overall.
