RIP Brandon Clarke. He went from my favorite player in his draft class -- I was devastated! when the Wolves took Jarrett Culver instead -- to the most terrifying opponent for Minnesota in the playoffs during that brief stretch where Memphis was their rival. Really brutal news.

Awful story. It looks like Clarke died of a drug overdose in San Fernando at 29 years old. My sister died of a drug overdose at 27. Lack of universal healthcare and a national rehabilitation program - to treat addiction as a disease, not a moral failing - drives this problem.

Not a big basketball fan but its been a pretty tough day for the NBA. Rest in peace, Jason Collins and Brandon Clarke.
