President Trump invited 16 executives, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk, to travel with him to Beijing for meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The delegation also includes BlackRock's Larry Fink, Blackstone's Stephen Schwarzman, Citi CEO Jane Fraser and GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp, and will aim to lobby Xi to invest in the U.S. while addressing trade, technology and security frictions. Bringing top U.S. corporate leaders gives the administration business leverage and could produce investment commitments or supply chain and aerospace contracts that reshape trade and technology ties between the two countries.
