Nintendo announces Star Fox 64 remake for Switch 2, June 25

Nintendo confirmed a cinematic Star Fox 64 remake launching exclusively on Switch 2 on June 25, with support for several existing Star Fox amiibos. The remake rebuilds the original 1997 game's set pieces with cinematic visuals and upgraded presentation while keeping Arwing combat and large boss encounters central. Several existing Star Fox amiibos will unlock a variety of in-game goodies and bonuses in the Switch 2 version. The June 25 release matters because Switch 2 exclusivity and amiibo integration make this a major next-generation revival of a classic Nintendo shooter.

I think my actual gripe with the new star fox is that they made everything else look too clean, if it was all kinda grungy and freaky I think theyd be onto something but they still have their head up SF64's ass

Actually she does wear make-up. Her design does not appeal to me, but I do like that it's there. she's rough, she's a merc, but she'll wear makeup for herself. Perfect.

Whatever the reason is, I’m happy to see it on a best selling list. If this remake does very well, that dramatically increases the chances that we’ll get a ground-up new Star Fox game in the next few years or so.
