Australia announced A$30 million in assistance to Fiji to help mitigate soaring fuel prices. The Australian government said the funding will help Fiji combat rising fuel costs and sustain its role as a regional fuel hub supplying neighbouring Pacific islands. Canberra described the package as a measure to boost Fiji's energy resilience, ease pressure on transport and household budgets, and stabilise fuel supplies critical to Pacific trade and services.
