Colorado Winter Storm Warning, 4, 14 inches possible in places

newsMay 5, 2026104

Winter Storm Warnings cover Pikes Peak, the Rampart Range and parts of the Denver-Boulder urban corridor from the evening of May 5 into May 6. Forecasts call for 4 to 8 inches of snow across the urban corridor with locally up to 12 inches near the foothills and 8 to 14 inches for Teller County, the Rampart Range and Pikes Peak, with the heaviest totals above about 11,000 feet. Heavy, wet spring snow could make roads treacherous, prompt mountain pass closures and disrupt commutes and recreation during the May travel period.
