The Buck Stops Nowhere, Adam Kinzinger essay on presidential accountability
Adam Kinzinger published an essay titled 'The Buck Stops Nowhere' accusing the president of evading responsibility and urging institutional reforms to enforce presidential accountability. Kinzinger writes that a leader who "can't find the source of his own problems" substitutes noise for strength and says that refusal to accept blame has spread from corporate to political life. He frames proposed reforms as a way to recover what he calls the Republican Party's older, quieter standards of leadership and to give Congress and courts clearer tools to hold presidents accountable.
A leader who can never find the source of his own problems isn't strong. He's loud. open.substack.com/pub/adamkinz...
The Republican Party is now the Pedophile Enrichment Party.
A president who never owns anything and a party that has been blaming others for five decades.
The “ victimhood” Party 😡
Worse president during my lifetime.
Wow, not find the source!? I think not. Isn’t it always Biden’s fault?
Reagan also clamored on about trickle down economics and too bad he isn't around to own THAT one.
Plus he thinks he owns everything in the federal government and in Washington, DC. The only thing he doesn't own is responsibility for his own actions.
MAGA refuses to see the common denominator-trump
He’s a weak man’s idea of a strong man
Trump is the weakest president in my lifetime.,
When did Americans lose their way on this? We used to respect someone who took responsibility, and who shared credit. Now, the most popular human on the planet demonstrates the opposite characteristics.
The guy kneeling must be depicting the GOP Congress.
Loud in every way and means possible.
Yes, and he should quit tweeting unless it's just plain ole good news. Otherwise, it does make me think he's doing insider trading or illegal gambling, even about his own best friend Rudy.
I don't want to hear anymore about how Trump was the ruination of the gop they were always like this.
And he's no leader. Just a guy out taking a walk...in a golf cart.
I believe "the buck stops elsewhere" really got going with Reagan. Republicans stopped holding themselves accountable with him.
