A song sparrow with a way cool punk hairdo appears in the upper third of the frame. The sparrow is in profile, so we have an excellent view of the beautiful feathers on its head, back, and breast. The wing and back are mostly orangish brown and black with hints of white; the breast is mostly white with brown streaks. The head shows a lovely reddish brown mohawk with an edgy white stripe down the center. To establish his street cred, the sparrow sits on a grey rock heavily mottled with lichen. The foreground at the bottom of the image is covered with blurry brown mulch with the occasional leaf. The background at the top of the image is almost completely black (it's the underside of a deck) except for a blurry leaf on the right and a grey blur of the ground on the left.
