Sen. Rick Scott says high gas prices are 'worth it' as shortages reported
Senator Rick Scott of Florida defended higher gasoline prices, saying they are "worth it" to prevent a "lunatic" from dropping a nuclear weapon. He made the remarks as fuel shortages emerged in parts of Florida, with some stations showing limited supply. Scott was in New York yesterday and missed Senate votes, and Democrats pointed to his record overseeing Medicare while he was governor. The exchange matters because sustained higher pump prices raise household costs for fuel, food, and utilities, making a senator's defense of those costs directly relevant to voters' budgets.
CNN’s Harry Enten: “Historic: More voters blame Trump (77%) for gas prices rising than ever blamed Bush, Obama or Biden. A rare majority trifecta of Dems (95%), Indies (82%) and GOP (55%) now blame Trump. And unlike what Trump/Rick Scott argue, 64% say the war hasn't been worth higher gas prices.”
The joke is that rarely do presidents have anything to do with gas prices. But in trump’s case, his mismanagement of Covid artificially depressed prices due to lack of demand and now his illegal and unnecessary war is jacking prices with the closure of Hormuz.
He is officially the worst president
It’s hilarious that they’ve been reduced to “Well, but if Iran got a nuke, then everything would be real expensive!!” Despite there being no evidence of that being a threat
Just the dumbest questions, the most obvious arguments, and the stupidest time to have to live in. It's almost beyond comprehension that a survey like this would not result in 100% of people think that Trump is the sole reason that... Just shows how effective propaganda is.
Who's the 46% who think it was worth it? What was accomplished? We spent billions blowing up billions of Iranian stuff. The regime is the same and hardened. Their resolve to build a nuclear weapon is undoubtedly 100x greater. The Strait of Hormuz is closed. Yea, that 46% are clueless.
What happened to all the promised oil from Venezuela? #TrumpIranFiasco
War is never WORTH anything. What a sick thing to say.
Most Americans (me included) have very little cushion for emergencies given the shape of the economy. Republicans do not care. They are laughing all the way to the bank.
Wait…there’s 5% of Dems that DON’T think trumpo is to blame for the surge in gas prices at the pump???? #WTF
I was so pissed in 2014 when medical marijuana had more votes yea (between 50-60%) than Rick Scott (less than 50%), but because Florida has a 60% rule for voter ballot initiatives, we got Rick Scott and no weed. Lots of FL elderly republicans still don’t know what Scott did before getting elected.
Apparently they do not care😡
A lot of young voters know even less about his criminal past.
This is a fact. My sister in law did not know about the $1.7 billion in Medicare fraud, even a couple years ago. When he ran the first time, I remember reading 1 article about his Medicare fraud. His TV ads ran 24/7, guess the ad $$ for non FOX media was more important than informing the public.
The richest man in Congress, #Florida Sen. Rick Scott, R-Voldemort, says that the recent surge in gas prices in the U.S. is “terrible” but he believes it is “worth it." www.newsweek.com/higher-gas-p... via @newsweek.com
Okay so today I called his Washington DC office in every single office listed in the state of Florida I left my name and phone number and I have done this before. Their messages always state they'll call back but I'm starting to think his local offices are a money laundering front..
Because of all those benefits we are getting from war in Iran, you know?
