Bandcamp Friday, artists push releases and special sales
On May 1 artists used Bandcamp Friday to push new albums, free releases, and direct-sales campaigns that route proceeds to creators. Light Vibra released the free AX73 Lucid Mechanics Collection as a Fresh Sound Friday offering. Audio Obscura, based in Norfolk, combined electro-acoustic music, musique concrète, IDM and field recordings in new material. rauðvik highlighted that no AI was used and presented astronomy-inspired deep ambient electronic soundscapes, part of a wider push to turn listening into direct support for experimental musicians.
