Israeli navy intercepts Global Sumud Gaza aid flotilla near Crete
The Israeli navy intercepted the Gaza-bound Global Sumud flotilla in international waters off Crete, detaining more than 170 activists from multiple countries. Israeli forces boarded dozens of civilian vessels, including boats carrying Australians, and the Italian legal team said 24 of those arrested are Italian out of 57 Italians WHO took part in the mission. The operation took place far from Gaza’s coast and involved at least 22 boats that were part of the convoy. The interception has immediate humanitarian and legal implications for efforts to deliver aid to Gaza and has prompted sharp international criticism, including the UN special rapporteur calling it "Apartheid without borders."
“This is illegal under international law. Israel has no jurisdiction in these waters. Boarding these boats amounts to illegal detention – potentially kidnapping on the high seas,” said Gur Tsabar, a spokesperson for the Global Sumud Flotilla. Attack on unarmed civilians in international waters.
Israel will continue to do whatever it wants it seems as long as Western governments pretend not to see
1100 km from Israel...!!! That's one hell of a buffer zone these murderers want.
NOOOO! What the hell! They attacked the flotilla near Creta, 1000 km from Palestina? World, are we watching and accepting this? globalsumudflotilla.org/tracker/
💥 Israeli forces have intercepted around a dozen Gaza-bound aid boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters near the Greek island of Crete, more than 1,000km from Israel. Organizers call it an illegal attack on civilians in international waters. @AJENews
These idiots that say “I stand with Israel” should dropped off in Gaza.
Jeez . But there’s precedent, Israel’s “ brother in arms” (war-crimes) has been blowing up fishing boats at will, for some time now. As long as the US backs Israel’s play Netanyahu feels he has carte blanche - anywhere.

Israel is at war with the whole world.
They kidnap people in international waters and our government just shrugs. The former didn't talk about 'on water' matters and the current doesn't talk about things going on 'over there'.
The Israeli community needs to take a look at itself in the mirror and ask themselves what the world sees and thinks of them when we read about this kind of event
Near Crete??? What is Israel military doing near Crete? I understand it is in international waters but it is nowhere near Israel, how can this be legal? And what is our government doing since it includes Australians? Stupid question, of course they will do/say nothing
