Second Circuit has denied rehearing en banc in the E Jean Carroll I case—the one filed 1st but tried second. It's the $83M verdict for defamation during his 1st term. (Had presidential & "Westfall" immunity issues.)
Roger Parloff56The other case, Carroll II, is already at the SCOTUS petition phase, where SCOTUS has "relisted" ~9 times. I find that ominous but SCOTUS experts don't seem to. If Carroll II is overturned, Carroll I would have to be, because it relied on Carroll II's jury findings.
