Administration fires entire National Science Board
President Donald Trump fired all 24 members of the National Science Board, the federal panel that helps oversee the National Science Foundation. Board members had been preparing a report warning that the United States is ceding scientific ground to China before their abrupt dismissal. Removing the board leaves the NSF without its governing oversight and risks disrupting decisions on major basic-research funding, potentially weakening U.S. scientific competitiveness.

With an equally tiny budget it oversaw university managed research facilities, and developed numerous innovations for military application. IED detection is only one such collaboration with Army/Navy research labs. So sad!!
