Fright Club watch party debates The Field's ambiguous ending

The Field ends with Parker Stevenson reaching toward a mirror as the film cuts to credits, leaving the finale deliberately ambiguous. The movie intercuts unsettling imagery, including a line of people playing musical instruments, a bearded man with the words 'you shall not pass', and a group watching a screen that reads 'that's incredible'. At one point the protagonist appears to enter an alternate realm and later emerges pregnant, forcing the question of whether the film depicts a literal dimension shift or a psychological transformation. That unresolved ending amplifies The Field's dreamlike horror and leaves themes of identity and consequence unsettled.
