Nedra Talley Ross, last surviving Ronette, dies at 80
Nedra Talley Ross, the last surviving member of 1960s girl group The Ronettes, died April 26, 2026, at age 80. A founding member alongside Ronnie Spector and Estelle Bennett, Ross helped create hits such as 'Be My Baby' and 'Walking in the Rain,' and the Ronettes were later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Her voice and harmonies helped define the 1960s girl-group sound and influenced generations of pop and rock artists, making her death the final closing of the original Ronettes lineup.
