The Boston Red Sox routed the Baltimore Orioles 17-1 as Garrett Crochet settled in for six shutout innings. Andruw Monasterio had two doubles and hit his first career grand slam during a nine-run rally, and Boston erupted for 10 runs on 10 hits, including three homers, in the ninth inning. Orioles relievers struggled, Keegan Akin allowed six runs in just over an inning and Weston Wilson gave up two homers in one inning, and the win evened the series while marking Boston's 25th 17-plus run game since 2000, the most in MLB.
