2026 Hugo Awards finalists announced

LAcon V, the 84th World Science Fiction Convention, published the official finalists for the 2026 Hugo Awards and the accompanying Lodestar and Astounding Award shortlists on its website. The announced finalists span standard Hugo categories including Best Novel, Best Short Story, Best Series, Best Graphic Story and Best Poem, plus the Lodestar Award for best young-adult book and the Astounding Award for best new writer. LAcon V posted the full nominee lists at lacon.org/hugofinalists and will accept ballots from eligible Worldcon members; winners will be revealed at the Worldcon awards ceremony.
