Desmond Morris, the British zoologist, broadcaster and surrealist painter, died on April 19, 2026; he was born on January 24, 1928 and was 98. Morris wrote the 1967 bestseller The Naked Ape, which sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. He also presented BBC projects including The Human Animal and exhibited surrealist paintings internationally.
