A spokesperson said Bon Jovi has been battling a severe sinus infection; from the stage he hugged his bandmates, gave a thumbs up and told the crowd, "Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out" and asked them to hold onto tickets for a rescheduled date. The show was part of his Madison Square Garden residency and came during his Forever Tour, which launched earlier in July and is his first tour since vocal cord surgery in 2022. The singer had told People in June that he was "fully recovered" from that surgery; the abrupt ending means ticket holders should expect a makeup date to be announced.
